 the following patch should fix the problem. it was imported from the
 latest vendor version (2010-06-10) of byacc into our ancient K&R byacc
 version dated 1993.
 
 it might be a good idea to add the example file.y from this pr as a
 regression test under tools/regression/usr.bin/yacc.
