in file /etc/rc.d/nsswitch I see:
router# grep -R generate_host_conf *
rc.d/nsswitch:generate_host_conf()
rc.d/nsswitch: generate_host_conf /etc/nsswitch.conf /etc/host.conf
filename for host.conf is hardcoded =(
