When trying to configure Quagga with OSPF found that the daemon recieves multicast packets only when I'm running tcpdump on the interface. Some time ago found the issue like this in Linux kernel with rtl8169 and iSCSI, upgrading the kernel helps to resolve that problem. Think this issue like that is in age (Attansic L1 Gigabit Ethernet) driver but don't know how to describe more detailed.
