Is this the procedure for i386?
I thought that setting this in /etc/loader.conf is only viable for
amd64.,

Here are the current values on the system:
$ sysctl -a | grep -i vm.kmem
vm.kmem_size_scale: 3
vm.kmem_size_max: 335544320
vm.kmem_size_min: 0
vm.kmem_size: 335544320
$
Thanks - do let me know if it is indeed possible to simply edit
/etc/loader.conf as you suggested on an i386 platform, please.
