FreeBSD traffie.wzoeterwoude.net 6.1-RC FreeBSD 6.1-RC #2: Sun Jul 9 23:46:28 UTC 2006 root at traffie.wzoeterwoude.net:/usr/obj/usr/src/sys/TRAFFIE i386
>Description:
trying to receive http://portsnap3.FreeBSD.org./latest.ssl from the portsnap mirror results into an 404 not found error.
>How-To-Repeat:
* Hard code server portsnap3.FreeBSD.org. into /etc/portsnap.conf (mind the dot on the end)
* Run `portsnap fetch`
* You will get the error:
fetch: http://portsnap3.FreeBSD.org./latest.ssl: Not Found
Looking up portsnap.FreeBSD.org mirrors... using portsnap3.FreeBSD.org.
Fetching snapshot tag... failed.
>Fix:
* http://portsnap3.FreeBSD.org./latest.ssl is giving problems http://portsnap3.FreeBSD.org/latest.ssl (without dot) is working file. A simple (apache) webserver reconfigure should fixed the problem to also allow the portsnap3.FreeBSD.org. domain.
