To submitter:  The commands you used work fine for me on 6.3-RELEASE.
Could you please retest and see if you still see the issue?  If you do,
please add the 10 or so lines before the error message to this PR -
without seeing exactly why it is failing I suspect this will be hard to
solve.  Also, please show the contents of your /etc/make.conf file.
