 Did not succeed in reproducing the exact bug again, but got:

 install: /usr/local/var/run/heartbeat.pid : No Such file or directory
 pkg_add: install script returned error status

 on pkg_add -r heartbeat

 FreeBSD 6.2-RELEASE Generic i386
