Maybe not exactly the same error, but I get the following on a brand new laptop from HP: acd0: DVDR <HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GSA-T10N/PC05> at ata1-master PIO4 acd0: FAILURE - READ_BIG ILLEGAL REQUEST asc=0x64 ascq=0x00 And then the FreeSBIE 2.0 CD stops booting. --HPS
