Sorry, I had to close this PR:

1) snd_hda is not part of official / supported 6.x branch
   (though the binary modules / patch exist).
2) The effective way to solve / debug this issue is to
   join #freebsd-azalia @ irc.freenode.net. This is a known
   issue in few HP boards, and I expect the owner to come
   to this irc channel.
3) Due to lack of hardwares, I can't do much except some hit
   and miss brute attempt, hence requiring you (originator) to
   present himself in above irc channel.
4) As a temporary workaround, use mixer "speaker" to control / mute
   it.

Please consider #2 . We're lacking people with target hardware
to participate with the experimentations.
