>Description:
When postfix is being installed, it will overwrite the newaliases command of sendmail (available in the base system). However, every time when the base system gets reinstalled, this command is overwritten again with the newaliases of sendmail. This is quite annoying for postfix users as the commands act differently and newaliases suddenly does not change the aliases database of postfix anymore.
>How-To-Repeat:
Install postfix, and reinstall the base system afterwards.
Then execute newaliases to see that it is the one of sendmail
>Fix:
Reinstall postfix.
A better solution would be of course to ask the user during installation of the base system or not overwriting newaliases when postfix is installed. Requiring a full path specification of newaliases and putting it in different locations is also a possible solution.
