At random moment reading stops. System hangs several seconds after this.
After hanging I can not even switch virtual consoles with Alt-F1, Alt-F2 etc.
In /var/log/messages there are a lot of lines like these:

Sometimes system doesn't hang, but reading stops and k3b reports read error. In /var/log messages in this case a lot of lines like:

Sometimes (rarely) reading completes successfuly.

readcd does not hang system but often also stops at random moment but 10-20 seconds later it continues.
