misc/105090: FreeBSD 6.1 / 6.2-beta3 - BTX halted - Areca Arc-1210

 Afther changing the USB CD/DVD drive for a ata ide drive the problem 
 resolved. So it seems like the problem had to do with the USB support. 
 The drive I was using was a Samsung SE-S164
