FreeBSD smr01 6.1-RELEASE-p3 FreeBSD 6.1-RELEASE-p3 #2: Thu Jul 27 17:11:34 JST 2006 root at smr01:/usr/src/sys/i386/compile/SMP i386
>Description:
As to 6.0-Release, I can reboot the machine by pressing space bar after the
message,
        The operating system has halted.
Please press any key to reboot.

but, I can't on 6.1-Release.

>How-To-Repeat:
default setting always repeat the problem.
type "shutdown -h now" and press space bar after the above message to reboot,
but nothing happens.

>Fix:
disable kbdmux at boot time.
put hint.kbdmux.0.disabled="1" into the file /boot/device.hints.

During shutdown process, kbdmux should actively poll the underlaying
phisical(?) keyboard.
