FreeBSD mobile-desk.internal.net 6.2-RC2 FreeBSD 6.2-RC2 #0: Thu Dec 28 05:08:37 EST 2006 root at mobile-desk.internal.net:/usr/obj/usr/src/sys/GENERIC i386

>Description:
My laptop is a IBM thinkpad r52. It has a Mobility Radeon X300. I load radeon by loader.conf or by compiling in the kernel.

The dri/drm seems to work fine until I log out.

Logging out of a graphical interface causes the system to panic every single time.

I know of at least one other person who is having this problem. It can be seen at http://unix.derkeiler.com/Mailing-Lists/FreeBSD/stable/2006-05/msg00634.html

I'll be more then happy to supply any further information anybody needs to get this fixed.

I should mention that this card has full hardware acceleration and suspends and resumes just fine under several different linux :( distros.

>How-To-Repeat:
Enable dri in xorg.conf on a r300 mobility radeon card and logout out of a graphical interface.
>Fix:
Comment out dri/glx in the xorg.conf and the system does not crash, though it has much reduced functuality.
