Hi,

I'm using 6.1-p10 now on the same notebook. The problem persists still. 
The system does not hang (at least), but the burncd does. I can kill it 
with Ctrl-C, unfortunately cd disc is left in unusable state (i.e. I can 
not mount it), I have to use another program (cdrecord) to make it 
usable again.

I can help you to investigate problem further.
