The machine was upgraded to 6.1 and since then the panics
disappeared. It seem to be fixed with the 6.1-RELEASE, it was rock
stable e.g. no kernel panics or crashes for weeks.
In the mean time we had issues with the hardware (we suspect it is
the 3ware-controller) rendering the system useless.
I cannot test this issue with 6.2-RC1 or 6-stable.
We try to rebuild the system but it can take some time.
The machine was our local FTP-mirror (including FreeBSD) at
mirror.math.uni-bielefeld.de and had network loads of constantly 1-5
MBit with peaks to 70 MBit.
