>Description:
The re, RealTek, ethernet driver tests for a board defect by
sending and reading a packet in loopback mode. This test false
positives after rebooting from Windows XP. After running Windows
XP and then rebooting into FreeBSD, the re driver will report
that the loopback test has failed. An additional reboot will
clear this problem.
The card is in a 32-bit slot and thus should not have the
bug the driver is trying to detect. And in fact, the card works
fine when it does get past the loopback test.
>How-To-Repeat:
Boot Windows. Restart and boot into FreeBSD. System boot up
will halt during loopback test. Reboot again and it will
succeed.
