kern/81634: ICH5R SATA driver non-functional, install from CD fails w/ no HDDs found

 OK, after compiling a custom kernel, the timeout issues have vanished. =
 It
 appears that the generic kernel included with the 5.4-RELEASE amd64 =
 distro
 doesn't like the ICH5R controller, but there is a usable workaround in
 simply booting with safe mode until you get your kernel compiled. =
 Everything
 is purring like a lion... I'm happy as a clam, now...
