FreeBSD 5.4-RELEASE FreeBSD 5.4-RELEASE #0: Mon May 16 08:41:59 PDT 2005 root@:/usr/src/sys/i386/compile/BEASTIE i386
Steady traffic over a lnc0 device network connection causes the machine to lock up. Problem appeared after upgrading from 5.2.1; no hardware changes had taken place. After substituting a de0 network card no lockups have occured. The problematic interface is the onboard device on an IBM PC Server 325 (Type 8639-1RY).
Install 5.4-RELEASE and initiate a series of file transfers over the lnc0 device.
