DHCP does not work (5.3-RELEASE iso)

Watchdog timeout suggests a problem with your network card driver,
it would help if you provided details on what it is, 
eg, paste the output of dmesg
As such, I don't think the problem lies with dhcp. Can you try to statically
assign an address with ifconfig?
