I'm also seeing this behaviour in FreeBSD 5.3
(EINVAL from within a Jail for SNMP)

Is anyone working on tracking this down, or should this
just be closed/chalked up to a unfixable bug?

I can spend some time testing a fix/fixes to this issue..
