Still got the same problem with 5.3-RELEASE-p3 with if_sk.c v1.95 and
 if_skreg.h v1.25.

Sometimes it just gets an ip adress directly. But mostly i have to kill
dhclient and restart it in the hope it gets one the second try.

If dhclient doesn't get the ip the first try it waits 2 minutes en then
~ continues with no ip address assigned.
Static ip's won't work.. i can't ping other hosts at all.

If dhclient gets an ip the second try i mostly get the message Network
is unreachable en binds to a proper ip adress and the connection works fine.

here a part of messages when dhclient succeeds to get an ip:

Jan 11 22:18:34 blue dhclient: send_packet: Network is unreachable
Jan 11 22:18:34 blue dhclient: send_packet: please consult README file
 regarding broadcast address.
