 As someone on FreeBSD-questions wisely suggested, this had nothing to do
 with the wi0 driver at all, and had everything to do with the ACPI
 issues with this machine.
 
 I'm going to work with the ACPI support and see what I can contribute
 there.  I'm not sure if this machine should be on the "blacklist"
 or not - but will work on figuring it out.
