Ipfilter and kernel panic

A data point, i have been using ipfilter from 4.x to
5.x w/o any panic.

You will need to provide more info like backtrace for others to be
able to help you.  Search the mail archive and the FreeBSD
handbook(s) on how to produce the backtrace & other debugging
information ...
