System: FreeBSD edda.physik.uni-mainz.de 5.3-BETA7 FreeBSD 5.3-BETA7 #6: Mon Oct 4 06:59:06 UTC 2004 root at edda.physik.uni-mainz.de:/usr/obj/usr/src/sys/EDDA i386
Machine is a SMP system, two PIII/866Mhz, Main PCB is ASUS CUR-DLS, 1GB ECC reg. RAM,
machine is configured to operate as UP system.
>Description:
Since BETA7 I get stuck on console, within a X11 session or while compiling
something, after a while I can read something about "calcru: runtime went backwards ..." or
"calcru: negative time ...", the machine freezes and then crashes or get completely stuck.
I realized this shortly after an update from BETA6 I installed freshly from scratch after a total loss
of the system, which occured after an upgrade from BETA6 to BETA7.
The now installed system runs well for a hort time, say 12 hours with SMP disabled, the crashes.
The previous system got stuck very shirtly after reboot by similar "calcru: ..." problems.
