>Description:
Kernel crashes when using a ndis interface. After configuring ndis0 and pinging the router, kernel panics.
I've observed this behaviour with several different wireless cards using different chipsets like Realtek 2500 and RaLink 2500 (using the NDIS 5.1 drivers from windows XP).
I followed the instructions at http://www.xl0.org/FreeBSD/ndis.txt
for building the kernel modules.
ifconfig ndis0 inet 192.168.1.2 netmask 255.255.255.0 ssid linksys channel 11
ndis0: flags=8843<UP,BROADCAST,RUNNING,SIMPLEX,MULTICAST> mtu 1500
inet 192.168.1.2 netmask 0xffffff00 broadcast 192.168.1.255
inet6 fe80::280:5aff:fe22:db0a%ndis0 prefixlen 64 scopeid 0x6
ether 00:80:5a:22:db:0a
media: IEEE 802.11 Wireless Ethernet autoselect
status: associated
ssid linksys
channel 11 authmode OPEN powersavemode OFF powersavesleep 100
rtsthreshold 2312 protmode CTS

>How-To-Repeat:
Reboot, configure the ndis0 interface, ping the router.
