Problem: Using dump L on a large, volatile filesystem causes machine to
freeze. No error is reported, nor logged.
This machine is a mail host for our network, holding mail spools
totaling 20G or so. Using amanda to call dump, causes the machine to
freeze within 5 minutes of dump running.
The problem also seems to be affecting a PostgreSQL host now. Can not
reproduce on a test machine, nor am I keen to keep freezing live
machines.. will do for debugging purposes if someone can tell me how to
debug. Both are running RELENG_5_2_1_RELEASE with security patches
applied.
kernel config (IBMT) is included, the only other non-default setting
are:
kern.maxfiles: 24654
net.inet.udp.maxdgram: 63535
