FreeBSD koepke 4.9-RELEASE FreeBSD 4.9-RELEASE #0: Sun Feb 8 22:11:14 CET 2004 root at koepke:/usr/src/sys/compile/HSE3 i386

>Description:
This is a pentium I laptop with a LiveWire 10/100 pcmcia ethernet card.
Card removal works fine but interruption of the network (e.g. unplug cable
or broadband goes quickly down) freeze the system: no keyboard, no
network anymore. Removing pcmcia card make system happy again.
>How-To-Repeat:
Unplug ethernet cable -> system freezes
>Fix:
remove pcmcia card and push it back again. Problem is that I use this
machine as a server and access it remotely -> do not yet have a
trained cat to do that ;-)
