5.2RC2 on Proliant DL380 G3

Two quick issues, please excuse me if this has been previously reported.

1. Get a panic error at the end of the dmesg or beginning of sysinstall. It
is hard to read what is going on, since it gets stuck in a loop and
scrolling by really fast. My best guess, if I can make it out, it is a
md0-related panic. I have no idea how to get this captured, so if anyone has
suggestions, please let me know. It is basically displaing the same two
lines over and over. Happens with miniinst and bootonly images (I cannot
boot Disk#1, see below). I can try to get a digital camera screenshot if
anyone is interested, but I do not know if it will be readable. None of the
options on the menu work (APIC, non-APIC, safe, etc)

The interesting thing is that I have been able to install 5.2RC2 on the same
hardware by making the two boot floppies followed by an FTP install. The
floppies did not exhibit this problem. Is it some difference in the software
on the floppies vs. OS?

2. I think this is a generic issue, not hardware related. I have not been
able to boot disk 1 on any system. I can boot the miniinst and the bootonly
disks, but disk1 is not seen as bootable.

System is a hp Proliant DL380-G3 with a single 3GHz processor option and 2GB
of RAM. The only hardware added is two Broadcomm fiber NICs. It is currently
running FreeBSD 4.8 perfectly, and there were no issues during the
installation of 4-stable. The system also installed OpenBSD 3.4 correctly,
except that the raid controller was unsupported so we abandoned it.

We are using the same BIOS settings that we used to get 4.8 installed.
Basically default, with the following customizations:

Compatibility: Linux
MPS Table mode: Full Table APIC
Virtual floppy support (I forget the exact name, but this panics 4.8 at
boot) turned off.
