>Organization:
>Environment:
3ware palisade 400 19 inch ip storage system (intel-based) with hot plugs for up to eight 120gb ide hard disks, based on a freebsd kernel booting from a 96MB compact flash card, adding some zeusos maybe proprietary (don't know)
>Description:
I am sorry I cannot give a more detailed view at this time. I did a "blind purchase" of such a barebone, no software, no drivers, finding out that the good idea of such a system booting unix has been "3-wared", meaning that this system is not "open" any more, restricting the use of storage to the political intentions 3ware wanted the system to give (such as disabling nfs). Anyway, there is a freebsd booting.
I wonder if someone maybe analyzed or updated it, especially when 3ware cancelled this product in 2001.
>How-To-Repeat:

>Fix:
Updates, known locations of drivers or whatever else is helpful.
