>Description:
When netbooting to multi-user and a read-only /, I saw the following console
message:
Aug 4 03:04:46 elephant kernel: pid 677 (dump), uid 0: exited on signal 11
This occurs because the periodic scripts run "dump -W", which fails nastily
in the presence of an unwritable /.
elephant# dump -W
DUMP: WARNING: no file `/etc/dumpdates', making an empty one
DUMP: WARNING: cannot create /etc/dumpdates: Read-only file system
Last dump(s) done (Dump '>' file systems):
Segmentation fault
>How-To-Repeat:
Netboot with a read-only /. Run "dump -W".
