Boot loader freezing on sound card detection 4.9 PRERELEASE

   Hi, i updated my source tree and i can't seem to boot up. It seems to
   get stuck on the detection of the card. the card is a creative
   soundblaster live! im running freebsd 4.9 which was updated from 4.8
   RELEASE the system is an intel pent 4 1.8 ghz with 512 megs of ram.

   the last messege i got was

   pcm0: <creative EMU10K1> port oxd400-oxd41f  irq 9 at device 9.0 on
   pci2

   ive never had this happen before, and it was eventually booting up
   after a few reboots, but now it seems to have completely locked up.
