No mouse detected at all, and the ports are all dead,
unresponsive to connecting/disconnecting ANY USB device.
Both OpenBSD and NetBSD have similar issues, though they
do at least manage to see a mouse before cratering.

Buy ASUS A7V8X-X mobo. Install. Insert 5-CURRENT snap CD.
Boot. Watch failures.

No idea, but I doubt the choice of static of dynamic linking
has any bearing on the matter...
