 Hmm, looks like can't reproduce this bug
 % /bin/sh
 $ uname -prs
 FreeBSD 4.8-PRERELEASE i386
 $ telnet !
 !: No address associated with hostname
 
 Also can't reproduce it under 5.0-CURRENT #27: Wed Mar 26 15:07:02 MSK 2003
