PINE64: aw_mmc0: controller timeout aw_mmc0: timeout updating clock

Running a PINE64 with a recent CURRENT ( FreeBSD 12.0-CURRENT #27 r334874: Sat Jun  9
09:31:07 CEST 2018 aarch64) and trying to update the system via "pkg Base" (self compiled
on a amd64 system), it turns out, that updating the Pine64 on such a way is a ever
lasting job. 

Downloading is a task I need a lot of patience even with the 1 GBit NIC of the Pine64,
but extracting turns out to be a slow as the movement of a glacier and most of the time
my Pine64 crashes due to the error shown below.

The SD card is not the fastest one, dmesg reports

mmcsd0: 16GB <SDHC SD16G 3.0 SN 01125EA3 MFG 06/2015 by 39 PH> at mmc0
50.0MHz/4bit/32768-block

but on other systems the performance is sufficient - but not on the Pine64. I haven't
checked with other SD cards due to the lack of other types, so if the reason for the
timing problems is the SD card and not the driver, I'll check with another one. 

But could someone check?

What is about MMCCAM? Is it worth giving that a try or is its development state to risky
regarding the usage on a Pine64?
