  Personally I use slim x11/slim and windowmaker x11/wmaker in place of gdm
an gnome so I can not say off hand. This would be better served on the
FreeBSD-Gnome list , you can find that lists info here
http://lists.freebsd.org/mailman/listinfo/freebsd-gnome . It could be any
number of gnome issues .
