I had a similar issue this morning, while doing a large compile (qt4).  I do
not have a debug kernel going, so I can't get a dump or anything, but I had
exactly the same error as above (a different total allocated, of course, but
in the same neighborhood).  If this happens again, I'll get a debug kernel
compiled, but hopefully it doesn't.  :-)

Not a lot of info here, I know, but it's just another data point.
