turion on acer travelmate 4400

Unable to make custom kernel on FreeBSD 7.2
The default kernel works except for acpi errors on bootup.
The amd GENERIC kernel is for "HAMMER".
make buildkernel generates error messages regarding "undefined
reference" to "critical_enter" and "critical_exit" in functions
"sysarch" and "cpu_set_user_tls"
What needs to be done to correct?
