amd64/122624: unusable mininal installation of FreeBSD-7.0

If it were me, I'd install 7.x in a different partition/slice
and leave the 6.x partition/slice alone.  Then you have no risk
of 6.x files hanging around to confuse the issue, and if you
need another patch you don't have to repeat steps 1 & 2.
