This message sent from an HP dv8000 AMD Turion64 laptop installed with 
6.1-RELEASE, more recently upgraded to 6.2-RC1 ... knock-on-wood, no 
problems thus far. It does install fine for me without any issues asside 
from hardware support (ie wireless lan issues). This particular laptop 
has to 17inch screen, two hardrives (the 100gb that came with, and a 
second 20gb that boots the FreeBSD O/S), and 1024MB ram. I have some 
custom patches installed to the ndis wrapper kernel module in order to 
use the 64bit windows drivers for wireless lan, but otherwise fairly 
stock install; dmesg output is as follows:
