extreme mem usage under amd64 arch ?

I tried this approach as well, but i386 on that particular asus board with 4G 
was ram not usable, it wouldn't even complete the install. On another (not so 
recent?) m/b you might do better.

I never tried only having httpd installed and nothing else.
