You need to post more context.

I have seen this reported right after the ATA probe, with old
harddrives.  Since you didn't post I can only assume it's the same for
you.

If it's that, it seems to be related to ataraid.  

Try turning off all RAID options in the BIOS.

Try DMA off (safe mode boot should do).

Try setting the disk geometry in the BIOS manually.

On bsdforums.org is another user with a similar harddrive, you might
want to check that thread.

For what it's worth, I run FreBSD on a DFI LP SLI-DR with no problems,
several different harddrives, P-ATA and SATA.  Runs great, I like the
NForce chipset much better than I expected.
