3ware (twe, twa) support for AMD64 in 5.3?

I found a couple of threads related to this:

Neither seems conclusive enough to make a purchasing decision.

But this file,

/usr/src/release/doc/share/misc/dev.archlist.txt

dated today, tells me this:

twa     i386,amd64
twe     i386,amd64


I have two questions:

1. Are the 3ware drivers ready for production on AMD64?
2. Will the CLI utilities run on AMD64?
