Hmm, I did not realise /usr/src/sys/conf/ existed. I've worked in the old
way in /usr/src/sys/amd64/conf which also contains a NOTES file but no reference
to sound.

Now, I find a lot of interesting things in the /usr/src/sys/conf/ directory.
But how is this meant to be used? Perhaps the Makefiles.* come into effect with
"Building a Kernel the ``New'' Way"
