Stuck with the same wait myself. The fix is, currently, uncommitable
since its unknown what effect it would have on some platforms. Or
thats the last I heard about it. I'm currently starting on the ACPI
stuff, hopefully I'll have an ISO up for that after awhile. Be aware
that with ACPI disabled, the machine will kernel panic when any power
management stuff is used. (Closing the lid, plugging it in,
unplugging, etc) HP/Compaq was not able to direct me to a resource
outlining how to disable ACPI on the BIOS, so we're stuck just trying
to make it work... any thoughts on that would be mostly appreiated as
well.
