Well, I have limited space at home. 3 Alphas now, and that is enough.

It is a long time ago I tried it, our 2100A has gone away years ago. So
you would need to find someone who has recently tried one.
But I am still puzzled the 2100A did not even attempt to boot. Have you
verified the CDR on another Alpha?
