Firstly, apologies if this isn't the list to discuss installation
problems.. the description on the website seemed to indicate it was more
of a list for people actually involved at the source code level of the
port.. feel free to tell me to go away!
I thought I'd give 6.0-RELEASE a try, but I can't even get the CD to
boot.

This was my latest attempt - all other attempts have been identical in
their result.
I've tried various permutations of:
* The CD drive the machine came with (Toshiba XM-6202B)
* An old CD writer I had knocking around (Mitsumi CR-4801TE)
* My fairly modern DVD/CD rewriter (Sony DRU-510A)
and CDs burnt using CD RecorderXP on Windows, Iomega Hotburn on Windows,
and cdrecord on Knoppix.
The cdrecord one I even did at single speed, but no luck.
Am I doing something wrong?
Also, if it's possible to boot the installer over the network, without
need for media, I would love to do so, but the alpha part of the
handbook makes no mention of it being possible (only floppies and CDs
are mentioned).
I have one and a half more 500AUs should anyone think it's a problem
with this particular machine, so I could try swapping the hardware
around...
