O, I can: 520byte/block disks taken out of a raidbox needed a lowlevel
to be usable :)

No, there is not that I have ever seen.

I typically use 256MB for root, RAMsize+1Mbyte for swap, the rest for
/usr.  But that is for testmachines, YMMV, greatly vary I might add.
