I see. I'd seen the '-mcpu' option but pretty much skipped past it except
for the cpu_type definitions.
By the way, I appreciate the quick and informative answers. I realize that
I'm very much a newbie to this architecture, but I'm learning a lot and
trying not to pester everyone else in the process.
