-mieee on Alpha

Where is -mieee specified when building applications from ports or when 
building world?  I wa under the impression that it was in 
/usr/share/mk/bsd.cpu.mk and /usr/ports/Mk/bsd.port.mk, but I can't see it.

Also, looking back throught the archives, there doesn't appear to eb a 
way to turn it off (if one should so desire), is this correct?
